The design of Harbin Imperial Lake is a reflection of Wei Luo's commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The building's crescent moon shape is a symbol of beauty and tranquility, and its large windows offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The interior design continues the building's symbolic power, offering visitors an urban landscape experience through abstract art imagination.
The building's unique properties lie in its integration of natural elements and modern techniques. Luo has used natural wood veneer material, natural cane art, environment-friendly water-based art coating, and stone material in combination with metal and glass mirror to create a space that is both modern and serene. The design aims to allow people to sense the indoor serenity and also appreciate the natural beauty surrounding them.
The realization of this design was not without its challenges. The crescent moon shape of the building required more supporting columns inside. However, Luo skillfully integrated these columns into the design, creating a flowing sense of art. The rhythm of a succession of crescent moons spreads in space with poetic power, further enhancing the building's tranquility.
The project, which covers a total of 1100 square meters, started in March 2021 in Harbin and was completed in February 2022. Luo's design team included Chief Designer Luo Wei, who helped to bring the vision of Harbin Imperial Lake to life. The design was realized through a combination of modern and plain materials and techniques, integrating and combining the flowing freehand brushwork aesthetic appeals.
Harbin Imperial Lake is a testament to Wei Luo's commitment to innovative design. The design not only respects the architectural form and the objective environment but also provides emotional care for people and returns to authentic needs through the experience space of the interior of the building, light and shadow, material texture, and details. The result is a space that is not only functional but also a work of art.
Harbin Imperial Lake is a testament to the power of innovative design. Its unique combination of natural elements and modern techniques has earned it the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2023. This award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and Harbin Imperial Lake is no exception. With its tranquil and visually stunning design, it is a true modern marvel.
